Our Mission

At Geeky Beats Big Band, we celebrate the merger of pop culture and music by bringing people the tunes they love from their favourite soundtracks with a fresh big band beat.

Whether its video games, movies, TV shows, or anime, we want to make people smile, laugh, dance, and sing along to the music that defines us all as people and fans.

Our mission, therefore, is to create a dynamic and inclusive musical experience that everyone can enjoy, sharing our passion for the pop culture we love with our audience.

We aim to honour the timeless classics and modern masterpieces by infusing them all with our passion for jazz, inviting everyone to relive their favourite moments and sounds in new and exciting ways.

A Note From the Founder

Since joining the London Video Game Orchestra as a founding member back in 2019, I’ve been fortunate to see the joy and enthusiasm gaming music brings to audiences. It’s time the jazz world, or at least the London corner of it, got in on the act. However, as a convention-attending geek, I thought it was unfair to keep the fun limited to gamers, and decided we needed a jazz band that embraces pop-culture in general. The result is Geeky Beats Big Band.
